When charged with a crime, the force of the government is against you. Attorney Lisa A. Kopelman has devoted her life to defending people against that powerful force.

Attorney Kopelman has been an attorney for over 30 years, devoting her practice to criminal defense. For most of that time she worked for the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, first as a Deputy Public Defender and then as an Assistant Public Defender.

While at the public defender’s office Ms. Kopelman worked in every branch court in Orange County as well as at the main court house in Santa Ana. As a result, she has come to know most of the judges and prosecutors in the county. Additionally, she handled many of the office’s most serious cases including sex offenses, gang cases, assaults, violent offense and capital murder cases.

Attorney Kopelman has tried over 100 cases to jury. Ms. Kopelman’s practice is devoted to the AGGRESSIVE REPRESENTATION of clients charged with serious and violent felonies and misdemeanors ranging from homicides and sex offenses to petty theft and driving under the influence.
